School’s out. The numbers are in.
Five school districts climbed at least 16 spots over the past year in The Business Review’s annual school district rankings. The database, released today, ranks 85 districts in 11 Capital Region counties based on a weighted tabulation involving student test scores, graduation rates and other state Education Department data. Te rankings are the signature piece of our 2011 Schools Report, which is available online and in today’s print edition of our newspaper. Districts showing the most improvement by climbing 16 spots over last year’s rankings were Canajoharie Central, Windham-Ashland-Jewett Central, Jefferson Central, Hoosick Falls Central and Schalmont.
